I was planning to study. Just an idle thought prompted me to go to a news channel website. As i was reading recent developments in Afzal Guru case, I read a comment of a so called 'Humanist' who called Indian people 'Bloodthirsty' for demanding death sentence to Afzal Guru. And it was enough for me to get distracted from studies. Even as I type this article, my hands are shaking with anger.

Let me illustrate the great indian Conundrum

Farooq Abdullah - The man ousted from power by people. The sludge residue of the democratic process called Election. He wants to come back to power, imagine what he does. He supports clemency for a man who masterminded the attack on the soul of indian democracy - The Parliament. And imagine the daring of the spineless sludge, He then says that "You want to hang him, go ahead hang him but the consequences of hanging you must remember... Judges will need to be protected like anything; some crook will come and will murder them. If Afzal is hanged, whole india will go in flames". How can anybody be so dumb not to realize the vieled threat hidden inside this statement.

Whose interest is Mr. Farooq Abdullah advocating so pationately?? Does he want to defend the person who attacked the spirit of his motherland?
This cancer is not limited to Mr. Abdullah. The spineless leftists whisper that clemency should be granted to Afzal on the basis that he should be given chance to transform and change into better human being. Why don't these people realize a simple fact that only the person with his conscience (vivek buddhi) alive can transform.. afzal guru does not have vivek at all.. it was killed when he masterminded the attack on parliament.

And why would you give a chance to the person who attacked your self respect. Coming to self respect.. do these politicians have any self respect? Contradictions and paradoxes are the essence of these politican's lives.

If Afzal is granted clemency, it will be an invitation to all militants and terrorists.

Afzal's attack not only held the parliament hostage.. but in deeper sense he held the throat of every Indian. Most Indians like me realized later the consequences and situation if this attack would have been successful.

The Funny Part is that had this attack been successful, Mr.Abdullah and Mr.Yechuri wouldn't have been alive to ask for clemency for Afzal :)

And lastly major blame lies on us. We have created a shell of stability around us. We cannot think beyond our family, prestige, money and comfort shell. Why are we so afraid of getting out of this stable shell. A great wave of disgust surrounds me when i see the impotency of courage, self respect in the Indian Youth. Why can't we be responsible Generation to answer the call of the nation? Why can't we think beyond the mundane?

Let's wake up. Its high time now.. Its time to take control in our hands.. Fidel Castro began revolution with just 80 men and succeded because of ardent faith and unconditional integrity of his men. Afzal case is the representative of the things that are going seriously wrong in this country. The onus is on us to make wrong things right.

Let's create a revolution... will You join me?

Jai Hind.

--Akshay Z
